TV Here, There and Everywhere: But Do Your Customers Care? In the age of TVE 2.0, it’s easy for the cable industry to declare victory now that authenticated content is so ubiquitous and available. But confusion still reigns supreme as cable programmers and operators pitch the benefits to consumers still coping with endless clutter and myriad ways to access TVE content (not all of it seamless). Meanwhile, operators and programmers continue to assess the business case. Is it just a retention and fan-building tool—or can it actually generate additional revenue? And how does the persistent lack of unified measurement in the authenticated environment impact the industry overall? What’s the demographics mix on usage? And how do OTT players like Netflix and Amazon factor into the TVE equation if at all? We’ll tackle those questions and more as we take a deep dive into the TV Everywhere rabbit hole, and debate how much this important initiative can impact the business.
This discussion will include TVEverywhere experts from Comcast, HBO, Univision, Disney/ESPN and Fox.
