CCTA offers two types of memberships for those in the cable industry in California:

• Active members - the owners and operators of a cable system, and
• Associate members - individuals or corporations involved in manufacturing, programming or other services to the cable industry.

Active Member
Active Members of the Association shall be owners of Cable Television Systems serving communities and areas in the State of California. For the purposes hereof, a "Cable Television Systems" shall mean any facility that transmits television entertainment services to subscribers for a fee, pursuant to a franchise or license granted under Section 53066 of the California Government Code. To qualify as an Active Member, a corporation or entity must be currently engaged in the operation of a cable television system or systems within the State of California.

Active Member Dues: 40 cents per-subscriber, per-year.

Associate Member
To qualify as an "Associate Member" an individual, corporation or entity must be either engaged in the manufacture or distribution of equipment or material used in cable television or provide a service to participants in the cable television industry.

Associate Member Dues:

• A company with more than 5 employees: $750 per year or
• A California based company with less than 5 employees: $400
  per year
• Dues paid are for company membership, not individual.
